…We thought we should share with you another Christmas message. The Christmas sermon delivered by Pastor Rev. Dr. Munther Isaac in Bethlehem movingly expresses the feelings this Christmas of Christians in the land of Jesus’ birth, many of whom are the direct descendants of the first Christians. Pastor Isaac names what is happening in Gaza as “an annihilation” and as “a genocide”. And as to the actions of world leaders, he speaks of them lining up “to give the green light for this genocide against a captive population.” In our view, he correctly names Gaza as the moral compass of the world…

Unfortunately, the subsequent watered-down Security Council resolution did not support a ceasefire and the firing of Gazan rockets into Israel and Israel’s killing of innocent Gazans – mostly women and children – continues. So, in line with your Christmas message, we urge your government to maximize your efforts to find new ways to make the world a brighter place…
