…Canadians do not want our government or other Canadian institutions to be contributing in any way to the death and destruction. What has been agreed between the University of Windsor and its student encampment representatives will help ensure that university is not complicit in the death and destruction, which I am sure you will agree is a good objective.

Given the above, you will understand our surprise at the recent tweet by Anthony Housefather, M.P., your government’s recently appointed Special Advisor on Jewish Community Relations and Antisemitism, stating that he is ‘deeply disturbed’ by the University of Windsor agreement. It appears to suggest that he is doing his best to undermine the agreement. Hopefully, this is not an objective that your government supports, especially given the International Court of Justice’s ruling on Friday calling for the end of the Israel occupation of the Palestinian territories and its earlier interim orders on the South Africa application…
